This week's news we will be about lots of different things; from trees up in the sky too groundwater deep in the earth. I hope you learn something.
Good News
The good news of this week is really opposite to the bad news about the amazon a few weeks back. A group of conservationists might buy the largest sequoia forest. That is about 530 acres big. Sequoia forests like this one are some of the rarest ecosystems. And if they buy it will be protected. For more info please watch the video.
Bad News
We already knew that climate change is affecting ecosystems, coasts, and oceans but a new study shows that it may affect some valuable soils. Since it could affect their ability to absorb water. This, of course, will have drastic effects on groundwater supplies, plants and trees, food production and stormwater runoff.
Company
The company I will be discussing this week is plaine products. Plaine products sell hair and body products in aluminum bottles which you can send back for a refill. Isn't that great! 1 downside is that they only ship to America and Canada. I hope the Netherlands will be next! https://www.plaineproducts.com/shop/
Charity
For this week's charity, I would really appreciate it if you would donate to this page: https://www.plasticbende.nl/theevergreen which I started as part of WWF raising money for cleaning the oceans and saving the turtles. For more info, you can look at my other blog post about this.
