This week will be about pollution, power plants and cups. Also, I would appreciate it if you would follow my Instagram for all the updates. @evergreen.eco.bloh
Good News
Funny enough Denmark is doing lots of good to the environment and is yet again the setting for our weekly good news. They have created what is possibly the greenest power plant in the world. It is a hybrid between building and landscape and after 8 years it is finally here. The power plant turns the city's trash into power. It's called the 'Copenhill' and doubles as a climbing wall and skiing hill. For more info watch the video.
Bad News
New research from the University of Rochester Medical Center demonstrates that exposure to a common form of industrial pollution may be able to injure the immune system of offspring. And that the harm can be carried along to the following generations. It can also decrease the body's resistance to infections and viruses such as the influenza virus.
Company-Charity
This will be the first time I am supporting a Kickstarter but I thought this one was worth mentioning. They make recyclable, bio-based, dishwasher safe cups that you can reuse. They do not have an official store yet but when donating you can get some to try. That is why this week the company and charity are combined. When your cup has reached the end of its lifetime you can just send it back to Cuna. Isn't that great? So what are you waiting for, ho to their page. And support them!
